ISML 2011: Shana early Sapphire favorite as Kanade leads

The fourth of seven International Saimoe League necklace phases took place on July 5, 2011 with Match Day 1 of the Sapphire phase. Kanade Tachibana took the early lead with a 5239-1494 thumping of Seraphim.

Shana is tabbed by the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue to be the second ISML contestant to successfully defend her necklace. The Flame Haze got on the right path after torching Houki Shinonono is a 4872-1725 mismatch.

Yuki Nagato defeated Ui Hirasawa 4787-1993 to move to third. Ruri Gokou and Haruhi Suzumiya look to be prime challengers to Shana's defense. Gokou defeated Last Order 4527-2064 while Suzumiya coasted past Mafuyu Shiina 4505-2168.

In other ISML action...Yui drilled Kagami Hiiragi 3898-2884, Tomoyo Sakagami prevailed over Hitagi Senjougahara 3266-3191, Mato Kuroi blasted Sora Kasugano 3496-2761, Saber slashed past Kirino Kousaka 3428-3367 and Hinagiku Katsura roared past Holo 4246-2334.

Mikoto Misaka electrocuted Nagisa Furukawa 4223-2459, Charlotte Dunois defeated Kyou Fujibayashi 3239-3136, Eucliwood Hellscythe mowed down Kuroko Shirai 4352-2306, Yui Hirasawa rocked C.C. 3705-2989 and Yuri Nakamura gunned down Tsumugi Kotobuki 4228-2472.

Mikuru Asahina dusted off Fate Testarossa 3514-2776, Shiina earned her first victory of the year over Laura Bodewig 3178-2882, Taiga Aisaka raced past Nagi Sanzen'in 4247-2179, defending ISML Champion Mio Akiyama stomped Rin Tosaka 4365-2326 and Azusa Nakano pounced all over Konjiki no Yami 4428-2168.

Wrapping up ISML action...Index L. Prohibitorum cruised past Huang Lingyin, Ayase Aragaki demolished Haruna 3237-2968, Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere whipped past Asami Iwasawa 3363-2986, Victorique de Blois defeated Nadeko Sengoku 3260-3095 and Konata Izumi trounced Nymph 3501-2864.

In the special match, Rei Ayanami defeated Kaname Chidori easily, 4221-1715.
