ISML 2012: More preliminary action with Phase II

The second phase of the 2012 International Saimoe League Preliminaries kicked off on Sunday, and it's crystal clear as to who could be representing who in the world's premier anime character competition.

In Nova Group 1, Aria Holmes Kanzaki won her match with 4,138 votes. Poplar Taneshima was second with 1,942 votes and Astarotte Ygvar managed just 849 votes. Yuuko Shionji won her match with 2,845 votes. Misaki Ayuzawa was second with 2,551 votes and Aoi Kunieda was third with 1,328 votes. Elucia de Lute Irma was also al winner with 3,136 votes. Sora Kasugano was second with 2,416 votes and Sana Inui was third with 1,369 votes.

In Stella Group 1, Tsumugi Kotobuki recorded 3,047 votes to finish first in her contest. Tsukasa Hiiragi was second with 2,278 votes and Chii was third with 1,761 votes. Group favorite Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere rolled in her match with 3,738 votes. Lucy Heartfilia was second with 1,776 votes and Evangeline A.K. McDowell was third with 1,337 votes. Also winning was Nymph with 3,165 votes. Fuuko Ibuki was second with 2,661 votes and Suigintou was third with 1,166 votes.

In Nova Group 2, Minami Shimada outdid Meiko Honma 2,977-2,845, while Yune finished third with 1,094 votes. Kurisu Makise emerged as the group favorite with an emphatic 3,544 votes. Aoi Yamada was second with 1,620 votes, beating out Ai Nanasaki's 1,517 votes. Also winning was Riko Mine, who recorded 3,096 votes. Sen Yarizui was second with 1,940 votes and Tsurara Oikawa was third with 1,593 votes.

In Stella Group 2, Kuroko Shirai rolled past Yui Kotegawa 3,037-2,399, while Alice managed 1,532 votes to come in dead last. Nagisa Furukawa won her match over Ami Kawashima to the tune of 3,242-2,357, with Amu Hinamori only managing 1,373 votes. Shinobu Oshino, however, is the group favorite, and her 3,802 votes are the reason why. Isumi Saginomiya was second with 2,010 votes and Kallen Kouzuki was third with 1,201 votes.

Nova Group 3 may be one of the toughest groups to date, as three faces in the group have emerged with a shot at punching her ticket to the regular season. Ayase Aragaki defeated Laura BOdewig 3,312-2,343, while Minene Uryuu was third with 1,313 votes. Yozora Mikazuki curbstomped Dalian 3,652-1,686 to win her match, with Minko Tsurugu only managing 1,376 votes. Shouko Kirishima was also a winner, easily handling Tomoka Minato 3,320-2,302. Mahiru Inami was third with 1,070 votes.

Stella Group 3 saw Index L. Prohibitorum come away a big winner, 3,377-2,009 over Erza Scarlet. Azuka Langley Soryuu was third with 1,650 votes. Group favorite Tomoyo Sakagami made her plans for another ISML run known with a 4,087-1,574 rout of Yin. Ai Haibara was third with 1,243 votes. Nagi Sanzen'in was also a winner, defeating Mikan Yuuki 3,237-2,203. Misuzu Kami was third with 1,352 votes.

Mizuki Himeji won her Nova Group 4 match over Ika-Musume 3,421-2,417. Chihaya Ayase was third with 987 votes. Haruna routed Hinata Hakamada 3,363-1,812, with Hakase Shinonome coming in third with 1,481 votes. Kyouko Sakura easily drilled Tsugumi, 3,341-1,835. Ayumi Takahara was third with 1,762 votes.

C.C. rolled in Stella Group 4, defeating Ayu Tsukimiya 3,429-2,015. Rei Ayanami was third with 1,358 votes. Kotomi Ichinose took out Nanoha Takamachi 3,042-2,261. Chrome Dokuro was third with 1,558 votes. Konata Izumi proved she lose much of her swagger, dismissing Ritsu Tainaka 3396-2400. Utau Hoshina came in third with 1.179 votes.
