Match Day 1 of the 2016 International Saimoe League Sapphite Period is in the books. In the Female Division, Isla pounced on Ikaros 1538-926, Yuuki Konno won a 1326-1232 nailbiter over Hestia, Yukino Yukinoshita routed Ai Haibara 1944-717, Konjiki no Yami took down Origami Tobiichi 1383-1094, Yui Yuigahama hammered Anna Kushina 1788-832, Marina Tachibana defeated Reina Kousaka 1380-1100, Yoshino thumped Kyouko Toshinou 1744-841 and Homura Akemi delivered the Upset of the Round, a 1454-1123 belting of Miyuki Shiba.
In the Male Division, Karma Akabane crushed Shougo Makishima 1541-597, Ichigo Kurosaki slaughtered Qwenthur Barbotage 1122-794, Souma Yukihira roasted Slaine Troyard 1551-548, Yuuji Kazami won the closest race of the night, a 1025-972 thriller over Killua Zoldyck, Tatsuya Shiba defeated Kei Shirogane 1262-826, Mikoto Mikoshiba prevailed over Hei 1201-1007, Shirou Emiya annihilated Tomoe 1632-594 and Shuu Ouma pulverized Deishuu Kaiki 1285-872.
In Spring Diadem action, Emilia leveled Miho Nishizumi 1921-693 and Beatrice, as previously tipped, defeated Ako Tamaki 1374-1132.
