Match Day 5 of the 2021 International Saimoe League Sapphire Period is history, and the Sapphire Necklace and Pendant Rounds are set. In the Female Division, Mai Sakurajima routed Zero Two 2861-1196, Yui Yuigahama hammered Nao Tomori 2005-1997, Ai Hayasaka rolled past Kaori Miyazono 2292-1425, Shouko Makinohara thumped Beatrice 2102-1505, Nanami Aoyama eased past Ichigo 2081-1318, Iroha Isshiki throttled Umaru Doma 2448-1410, Kei Shirogane stood tall over Shinka Nibutani 2108-1665 and Utaha Kasumigaoka defeated Rin Tohsaka 2086-1867.
Kaguya Shinomiya prevailed over Kurumi Tokisaki 2223-2140, Chika Fujiwara defeated Kuroko Shirai 2283-1904, Kanade Tachibana flew past Meiko Honma 2452-1227, Mitsuha Miyamizu silenced Yoshino 2036-1592, Index Prohibitorum dismissed Chiyo Sakura 2419-1588, Mio Akiyama boomed past Isla 2053-1897, Tamako Kitashirakawa defeated Kazari Uiharu 1874-1785 and Aqua and Azusa Nakano played to the first-ever draw in the tournament, 1832-1832. By rule, the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue declares Aqua as the winner of this contest for two reasons. First, Aqua qualified for the Sapphire bracelet round. Second, the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue does not recognize tied matches and will use its sole discretion to declare a winner as the ISML Seitokai does not do tiebreaking votes.
