Match Day 1 of the 2021 International Saimoe League Emerald Period kicks off a brand new period of play, and the field in contention for the Tiara and Scepter has thinned considerably. In the Female Division, Kaguya Shinomiya defeated Schwi Dola 1284-702, Kurumi Tokisaki shot down Rin Tohsaka 1178-823, Rikka Takanashi rocked Taiga Aisaka 1195-722, Chika Fujiwara belted Tooru 1141-763, Yui Yuigahama prevailed over Iroha Isshiki 944-790, Kuroko Shirai rolled past Ruiko Saten 1004-704, Ai Hayasaka got past Tsukasa Yuzaki 986-925 and Mikoto Misaka thumped Kamui Kanna 1336-742.
Wrapping up Female Division action, Mai Sakurajima romped past Kei Shirogane 1145-790, Mashiro Shiina smashed Mio Akiyama 1200-764, Emilia whipped past Kurisu Makise 1117-831, Asuna Yuuki slashed past Utaha Kasumigaoka 1095-798, Nao Tomori won a 935-905 grinder over Shiro, Kanade Tachibana flew past Megumin 1038-956, Misaki Shokuhou shook Index Prohibitorum 1057-866 and Elaina routed Shouko Nishimiya 1398-562.
In the Male Division, Kazuto Kirigaya slashed past Satoshi Fukube 1167-539, Touma Kamijou broke Nagisa Shiota 1063-624, Subaru Natsuki drove past Edward Elric 986-635, Levi leveled Shouya Ishida 907-693, Saitama punched Rintarou Okabe 862-797, Saika Totsuka toasted Tomoya Okazaki 861-767, Shirou Emiya defeated Shidou Itsuka 863-773 and Sakuta Azusagawa routed Yuzuru Otonashi 1074-630.
Wrapping up Male Division play, Yuu Ishigami punished Kousei Arima 1036-603, Taki Tachibana took down Lelouch Lamperouge 932-738, Riku Dola rocked Joutarou Kuujou 965-728, Archer defeated Kiyotaka Ayanokouji 866-770, Kazuma Satou dismantled Ryuunosuke Akasaka 1021-595, Yuu Otosaka rolled past Kyoujurou Rengoku 885-627, Sorata Kanda got past Nasa Yuzaki 860-702 and Yuuta Togashi silenced Ryuuji Takasu 1081-560.
Keke Tang (12562.4) is favored to win her upcoming duel with Chise Hatori (5299.5) after both advanced in a three-way match over Jahy (4966.5). In other exhibition matches, Vanitas defeated Kinji Ninomiya 580-472, Kimihiko Kimizuka won a 579-548 barnburner over Kyouya Hashiba and Bocchan won the closest race of the round, a 561-535 snoozer over Akira Shiroyanagi.
In VTuber action, Aqua Minato routed Hareru Hanamaru 951-428, Fubuki Shirakami prevailed over Miko Sakura 653-625, Watson Amelia belted Carol 878-531, Gawr Gura roared past Ritsuki Sakura 892-490, Ai Kizuna crushed Hiiro 944-529, Alice Mononobe drubbed Azusa 789-569, Rin Shizuka defeated Ava 728-627 and Ayame Nakiri took down Haato Akai 744-510. Finally, in a set of four-way races, Takagi (589), Sora Kasugano (652), Joseph Joestar (652) and Shinnosuke Nohara (581) came away big winner, the latter being marked as the Bedlam's Upset of the Round.
