So....who the heck was at the damn wedding?

NOTABLE WEDDING GUESTS
Prime Minister and Mrs. David Cameron
Naturally, the big kahuna of British politics was in attendance. Cameron is the head of England's Conservative party, and his wife, Samantha, is a business executive and the daughter of a baronet, who ranks below a baron and above a knight. "Quite surprising that Sam, as she's known, didn't wear a hat," said Tina Brown on Good Morning America. "The Camerons are a very upper-class couple, very grand beginnings … this is the one day when it's kind of OK for him to be posh." Cameron, a former PR executive, was appointed to the post last May and is the youngest British prime minister since 1812.
Sir Elton John
The musician performed Candle in the Wind at Diana's funeral. He walked into the wedding with a grin alongside his partner, filmmaker David Furnish; the two recently welcomed son Zachary.
David and Victoria Beckham
The famous soccer player and his Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer wife were the perfect guests, arriving early (dressed to the nines!) for the couple's nuptials. Their royal connection: Prince William worked with Beckham on England's failed bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
Guy Ritchie
Madonna got snubbed. But ex-husband Ritchie lucked out because he's a friend of the couple. The British filmmaker arrived solo; he's directed Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Revolver.
Joss Stone
The English soul singer, who frequently takes the stage barefoot, is said to have became close friends with William after performing at the Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium in 2007, which marked the 10th anniversary of her death.
Mario Testino
The acclaimed photographer shot the couple's official portrait photographs to mark their engagement, and also took some of Diana's most memorable, iconic photos.
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson
"One of the more fashion-forward guests," according to commentary on the Today show, socialite and TV presenter Palmer-Tomkinson arrived in a royal blue gown and a sculptural Philip Treacy hat. A friend of the family, she appeared on the British reality series I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!
Ian Thorpe
Prince William met the buff Olympic swimmer, known as the "Thorpedo," on a visit to Australia in 2010 and has donated to Thorpe's charity, Fountain of Youth.
Rowan Atkinson
The comedian, best-known for the ungainly TV (and movie) character Mr. Bean, is pals with Prince Charles.
Tom Bradby
The former royal correspondent at ITV News, now its political editor, conducted the first official interview with William and Kate in November. He's buddies with William.
Ben Fogle
The travel writer and TV presenter shot Prince William's Africa, a Sky1 documentary with William and Prince Harry to promote the wildlife conservation charity Tusk Trust. Fogle and William met years ago and are close friends.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Ms. Miriam González Durántez
Clegg, the leader of the Liberal Democrats and a former journalist, and his Spanish wife, a partner in a law firm.
First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Mrs. William Hague
Hague, a member of the Conservative party, and his wife, Ffion, last year publicly revealed their struggle to start a family.
Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Hon. Mrs. George Osborne
The Conservative politician is a member of the aristocracy and was appointed to his post in May 2010. His Cambridge-educated wife, the Hon. Frances Victoria Howell, is the author of the non-fiction book Lilla's Feast.

ISML 2011: Holo jumps out to lead in Aquamarine

By JR Salazar (Bongaboi)
April 28, 2011

Match Day 2 of the 2011 International Saimoe League Aquamarine Phase saw Holo jump out to the lead after her impressive 3564-3483 victory over Mafuyu Shiina. Nadeko Sengoku is on her tail after a 4258-3112 victory over Last Order, as well as Saber, who slashed past Nagi Sanzen'in 4013-3373.

Still, it's too early to point out any major contenders for this necklace, which represents the spirit of the oceans, but with each passing match day, the field dwindles.

Index Prohibitorum defeated Haruna 3818-3622, Tomoyo Sakagami leveles Tsumugi Kotobuki 4369-3358, Charlotte Dunois trounced Huang Lingyin 4616-2082, Kirino Kousaka crushed Kyou Fujibayashi 4231-3533 and Haruhi Suzumiya wiped out Sora Kasugano 5176-2622.

Yuri Nakamura cruised past Asami Iwasawa 5190-1901, Yuki Nagato blew past Seraphim 5188-2600, Victorique de Blois rolled past Kagami Hiiragi 3950-3450, Taiga Aisaka romped past Nymph 4942-2575 and Yui destroyed Ayase Aragaki 4731-2881.

Mio Akiyama grounded Konjiki no Yami 4904-2866, Mikoto Misaka electrocuted Houki Shinonono 5214-2364, Kanade Tachibana annihilated Kuroko Shirai 5676-2245, Hinagiku Katsura mowed down Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere 4533-2612 and Yui Hirasawa rocked Shiina 4721-2904.

Mato Kuroi pulled off an impressive 3628-3338 win over Laura Bodewig, Hitagi Senjougahara dominated C.C. 4110-3147, Eucliwood Hellscythe dusted off Ui Hirasawa 4912-2817 and Ruri Gokou pummeled Mikuru Asahina 4953-2834.

Wrapping up ISML action, Shana torched Nagisa Furukawa 4789-2776, Azusa Nakano dashed past Rin Tosaka 5124-2750 and Konata Izumi pulled off an impressive 3664-3470 victory over Fate Testarossa.

In the special match, DearS's Ren Nakora prevailed over Bota of YuYu Hakusho 2458-1923.

Action in the 2011 International Saimoe League Aquamarine phase continues with Match Day 3, scheduled for Thursday, April 28. Vote online for your favorite candidates at InternationalSaimoe.com and join the ongoing debate.

ISML 2011: Kanade, Eu surge into early lead in Aquamarine

By JR Salazar (Bongaboi)
April 26, 2011

With Easter dawning on the Saimoe community, it was time for the return of the 2011 International Saimoe League. Match Day 1 of the Aquamarine phase began with a bang, as Kanade Tachibana and Eucliwood Hellscythe came away big winners.

Tachibana whipped Shiina 6139-1396 in an all-Angel Beats! mismatch while Hellscythe rocked Asami Iwasawa 5097-2329.

In other action...Kyou Fujibayashi defeated Kagami Hiiragi 3888-3539, Mafuyu Shiina prevailed over Tsumugi Kotobuki 3806-3795, newcomer Victorique de Blois began her ISML campaign on the winning track with a 4187-3233 win over Index Prohibitorum, Yui Hirasawa rocked Kuroko Shirai 4678-3111 and Yuki Nagato bowled over Sora Kasugano 5092-2652.

Hitagi Senjougahara whipped past Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere 4339-3138, Holo chomped up Mato Kuroi 3751-3554, Nadeko Sengoku trounced Konata Izumi 4209-3198, Charlotte Dunois rolled past Nagisa Furukawa 4435-3004 and Ruri Gokou was all business against Houki Shinonono, 4958-2564.

Saber cruised past Fate Testarossa 4114-3006, Shana torched Huang Lingyin 4949-2659, Haruhi Suzumiya bounced Seraphim 4859-2890, Mikoto Misaka railgunned Mikuru Asahina 4884-2948 and Tomoyo Sakagami pounced on Laura Bodewig 4105-3176.

Mio Akiyama leveled Ayase Aragaki 5004-2754, Hinagiku Katsura defeated C.C> 4384-3134, Yui trampled over Konjiki ni Yami 4390-3051, Yuri Nakamura shot down Ui Hirasawa 4747-2972 and Kirino Kousaka hammered Haruna 4144-3139.

The action is just beginning in this 2011 International Saimoe League. Up next is Match Day 2 of the Aquamarine Phase, scheduled for Tuesday, April 26. Vote for your favorite candidates online at InternationalSaimoe.com and join the ongoing debate.
