So long, deviantART...

In the past, I used to be an active member of deviantART. However, I have decided today that I am calling it quits. This is what I wrote on the site as my last blog entry.

It really is difficult for me to do this after I have done so much to help make deviantART successful. Over the course of my time here at dA, I have contributed nearly 16,000 deviations, gained over 1,000 watchers, and brought in a variety of material: desktop screenshots (the lifeblood of my page), photos, illustrations, poetry and desktop orbs. I have made friends from around the world. I have made enemies from around the world. But all in all, I never lost track of the one this that has been a part of me from the first day I became a member of this site: Nothing Is Without Moe.
I earned a job this past week as a writer for FanSided.com, a sports site that offers compensation to the dedicated writiers. For me, writing has been a passion. You can see all the different pieces of literature hanging around the dA universe as a testament to what I put in. At the end of the day, I am just a writer and photographer with a penchant for sports and anime.
I am going to look back at everything I did for deviantART and say to myself, my gosh, you've put in a lot of work delivering the moe to this site. I have lost track of what have been my most successful deviantions and what hasn't. I've experienced highs, I've gone through lows, and I've averaged at least 100 views a day. I have been one of the most active users on the site, and I'm proud of that reputation.
However, people move on. Things change. People change. Other interests come calling. Nothing lasts forever, as far as I'm concerned. And for me, that time has come. I will leave deviantART as a Premium Member, in very elite company. Who knows if I will come back to this site under a different handle? I don't know if it will happen, so it's best to leave it to the fates.
I have had a great time being part of this site. I love this site. I love everything about deviantART. It's one of the best places to express yourself and declare your creativity. And I am personally excited about the next chapter in my personal history. I wonder what will happen next after I officially call it quits. For me, Bongaboi's future is bright.
At 9:00 p.m. ET, bongaboi.deviantart.com will be closing down for good. I love everyone of you, even the people who I have blocked. I offer a branch of peace and request that you lay down your arms because I am indeed leaving on my own terms. I told you in my previous entry that because of the current circumstances, I will determine whether I stay or go.
