ISML 2011: Kanade to the top after Amethyst 1

Kanade Tachibana, the winner of the 2011 International Saimoe League Topaz Necklace, will not be eligible to compete in the Amethyst Necklace round. However, that didn't stop her from crushing Nagisa Furukawa 5764-2341 to go on top after the first match day.

On her tails is defending necklace holder Yuki Nagato, who comes into the phase as a favorite to defend her jewelry after a 5575-2465 victory over Houki Shinonono 5575-2465. Taiga Aisaka is a legit challenger to Yuki's defense after a 5231-2314 win over Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere. Azusa Nakano is still looking for her first necklace after cruising past Seraphim 5441-2606. Defending ISML Champion Mio Akiyama is fifth after a 5485-2657 rout of Kuroko Shirai.

In other ISML action...Kyou Fujibayashi defeated Sora Kasugano 4470-3175, Last Order scored a rare victory over Shiina 4183-3614, Nadeko Sengoku edged Tomoyo Sakagami 4068-3801, Saber slashed past Holo 4475-3226 and Yui Hirasawa rocked Konata Izumi 4508-3371.

Yuri Nakamura shot down Fate Testarossa 4995-2912, Kagami Hiiragi rolled past Nymph 4131-3458, Ayase Aragaki defeated Tsumugi Kotobuki 4239-3634, Hinagiku Katsura whipped past Kirino Kousaka 4615-3459 and Nagi Sanzen'in took down Asami Iwasawa 4325-3428.

Shana torched Ui Hirasawa 5410-2761, Hitagi Senjougahara handcuffed Victorique de Blois 4052-3612, Yui annihilated Laura Bodewig 5118-2586, Eucliwood Hellscythe routed Konjiki no Yami 4945-2510 and Ruri Gokou raced past Index L. Prohibitorum 5383-2594.

Wrapping up ISML action...Mafuyu Shiina scored a 3667-3301 victory over Huang Lingyin, Mikoto Misaka electrocuted Rin Tosaka 5303-2663, Mikuru Asahina prevailed over. C.C. 3910-3855, Charlotte Dunois rolled past Mato Kuroi 4324-3208 and Haruhi Suzumiya dismissed Haruna 5279-2721.

In the special match, Kagura from Gintama defeated One Piece's Nami 4177-2633.
