Match Day 2 of the 2016 International Saimoe League Sapphire Period is history. In the Female Division, the favorites held sway. Umaru Doma defeated Tamako Kitashirakawa 1379-1116, Kyou Fujibayashi scored the closest victory of the night, a 1268-1246 thriller over Sora Kasugano, Sabe slashed past Enju Aihara 1639-1020, Yuri Nakamura shot down Rory Mercury 1485-1102, Nanami Aoyama rolled past Mikan Yuuki 1485, Eucliwood Hellscythe leveled Renge Miyauchi 1402-1134, Kuroyukihime flew past Konata Izumi 1571-1028 and Inori Yuzuriha annihilated 1667-778.
The Male Division also saw the favorites hold their ground. Sora slammed Seishuu Handa 1766-607, Ayumi Aikawa sliced and diced Shin'ya Kougami 1263-950, Archer dominated Son Hak 1743-520, Tomoya Aki cruised past Tetsuya Kuroko 1225-856, Gilgamesh thumped Souji Mitsuka 1483-722, Natsu Dragneel prevailed over Takumi Usui 1016-955, Levi pulverized Joushimatsu Matsuno 1645-402 and L Lawliet hammered Naruto Uzumaki 1276-920.
In Spring Diadem action, frontrunner Rem routed Akane Segawa 1927-652 and Mumei delivered the Upset of the Round, defeated Freyja Wion, 1245-978.
