One of the biggest Upsets of the Round happened in the Summer Seasonal Tournament. Platelet and Erythrocyte are not expected to make much of an impact at next year's International Saimoe League despite being locks to make the main draw. However, Platelet may go down as one of the more underrated characters to stand and deliver, and deliver she did in a 17216-13856 scalp of Rinne Ohara to win the Summer Diadem. Eyrythocyte made it a sweep for the series of the season, Hataraku Saibou, in a 16722-12921 whipping of Mahiru Tsuyuzaki, for third place.

Some other action between eliminated ISML participants took place. Kaori Miyazono defeated Tohka Yatogami 14734-12446, Jibril flew past Nero Claudius 14226-13878, Mitsuha Miyamizu eased past Eriri Sawamura Spencer 14843-13354, Yuzuru Otonashi shot down Sorata Kanda 13550-12124, Lancer implace Saika Totsuka 13321-11513 and Souma Yukihira dominated Gintoki Sakata 13422-11438.
