Match Day 1 of the 2019 International Saimoe League Topaz Period is in the books. In the Female Division, Rin Tohsaka routed Kazusa Touma 7646-3458, Chino Kafuu defeated Nagisa Furukawa 5243-4985, Kurumi Tokisaki shot down Utaha Kasumigaoka 6772-4088, Isla won a 5232-5182 nailbiter over Ai Haibara, Mai Sakurajima crushed Haruhi Suzumiya 6615-4353, Mirai Kuriyama won a 5244-5201 thriller over Meiko Honma, Sagiri Izumi thrashed Nero Claudius 7902-3893 and Zero Two scored the Upset of the Round, a 5636-5174 result over Mitsuha Miyamizu.

In the Winter Seasonal quarterfinals, Kaguya Shinomiya belted Hinata Hoshino 7529-3662, Yotsuba Nakano defeated Itsuki Nakano 6065-4689, Miku Nakano defeated Raphtalia 6644-4140 and Chika Fujiwara routed Emma 6267-4732. In Divine Circlet action, Sakura Matou rolled past Ran Mouri 6016-4287 and Nanami Aoyama prevailed over Mayuri Shiina 5297-5009. And in Divine Crown action, Mikaela Hyakuya defeated Ciel Phantomhive 4850-4357 and Roronoa Zoro won the closest race of the round and one of the closest of the season, a 4646-4643 snoozer over Karna.
