As I thought throughout the day, David Stern you should be very proud. You got what you wanted:

Free throws: 37-17 Lakers

Two evenly matched teams and this is what your referees come up with? You should be ashamed. I thought the Fakers were going to spend the whole 4th quarter at the free throw line.

Joke. Your league is a joke. Why did the Celts bother to play????

Our eyes don't lie to us. We trust our instincts. The game was f'n fixed!

FanB4Orr,

We've been saying this since the playoffs started. I know basketball and how its played.

For people who are still not convinced that the NBA is fixed, what more evidence do you need?

The Refs bailed the Lakers out at every possession in the stretch. They took the game out of the C's hands. In what other sport is this allowed?

It's amazing what a bunch of losers a lot of you sound like. I wasn't rooting for either team, but just wanted a good game, which we got. To say that David Stern fixed the game so the Lakers would win is so stupid and juvenile. It doesn't even make sense. Even if the NBA were corrupt as many of you say, all David Stern would want is a seven game series. Once he got to that why would he care who wins. The NBA doesn't make any extra money because the Lakers win. As for the foul discrepancy, sometimes that happens. I watched the game and it seemed pretty even to me as far a bad calls go. The fact is that the Celtics did foul a lot more. It was obvious. I bet if the foul calls would have been in the Celtics favor, and the Celtics won no Celtic fan would say the win was tainted and the Lakers got screwed. Quit being such poor sports. The Celtics lost this one. Get over it.

Face it guys: you are so used to your team playing thug basketball all season long that it becomes expected. When your coach won't (or can't) make the adjustments necessary to contain a physically superior (longer, quicker, and can finish layups), all you can do is rely on beating up the other team. This is Celtic basketball.

Too bad the refs didn't go for it.

Because Boston fans are completely pathetic and dillusional! If they dont win, there has to be some external forces or some organization conspiring against their teams. Because there is no way in heck that any Boston teams could lose to any other teams in any sports.

I mean, c'mon A-H's, check it out: Boston has owned our azzez from the beginning of time and now we're gloating in a chicken-ship way? Stop taking your stupid pills until this thing blows over. For God's sake, are you honestly that freakin' stupid? How do you survive with such S for brains? It's embarrassing to the rest of us West, Wilt, Gail, Happy, Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Byron, Shaq, Kobe, Pau and RA fans. Stop it and conduct yourselves with a little class. That was an amazing game 7!

Class? Why dont you read some of the posts AFTER the Celtics lost....taking personals shots at the LA, slinging insulting names, etc....I think its called...sore loser!! You can lose with class...and the Boston fans didnt show that here....

I dont usually post...I reply...so when a Boston fan post a rude reply...I reply back in the same way...

As for the game...yes it was an ugly game both sides and it was because both teams played suffocating D.....Lakers just wanted it more at the end...

My thoughts: Tell it like it is, LABOY.

You mean like how Kobe threw Shaq under the bus after the game today? Stay classy, Kobe.

My thoughts: Wrong team. Snack-O-Meal plays for the Chavs-er, Cavs. Ingrate.

ISML 2010: Shana takes command of Emerald phase

ISML 2010: Shana takes command of Emerald phase

June 17, 2010

It seems like Shana wants to add to her burgeoning necklace collection. And while it is too early to say, the Flame Haze is coming out with guns blazing.

Shana torched Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere 3180-1056 to rise to first in the 2010 International Saimoe League Emerald phase.

Defending ISML champion Hinagiku Katsura recorded an easy 3027-1196 rout of winless Hanyuu Furude, while Mio Akiyama stayed undefeated with a 3037-1344 annihilation of Konjiki no Yami (Golden Darkness).

Team Nanoha-TSAB picked up another rare sweep. In a match that was all too predictable to call, Nanoha Takamachi was the next to add to Nodoka Haramura's disappointing performance, blasting her 2648-959. Fate Testarossa kept her chances of gaining one of the last spots in the 2010 International Saimoe League Tiara phases alive with a 2222-1775 triumph over Isumi Saginomiya.

Bakemonogatari also claimed a clean sheet. Hitagi Senjougahara tore down Minori Kushieda 2335-1644 while Nadeko Sengoku edged Konata Izumi 2186-2007.

In the special match, a close contest saw Mion Sonozaki score a thrilling 1874-1862 victory. This is the closest special match result so far in the ISML regular season-a winning margin of just 12 votes!

In other ISML action...Nagisa Furukawa silences Ryou Fujibayashi 2714-989, Tomoyo Sakagami took out Illyasviel von Einzbern 2453-1748, Kotomi Ichinose sounded off Mihoko Fukuji 2764-1020, Minatsu Shiina shined off Ikaros 2234-1515, Yui Hirasawa destroyed Kurimu Sakurano 2645-1690 and Maria cruised past Ui Hirasawa 2288-1954.

Azusa Nakano pounced on Rin Tosaka 2664-1760, Kyou Fujibayashi defeated Holo 2179-1915, Taiga Aisaka romped past Mei Sunohara 2934-1309, Kagami Hiiragi stormed past Rika Furude 2584-1398, Chizuru Akaba flattened Nymph 2316-1393 and Mikoto Misaka electrocuted Tsukasa Hiiragi 2814-1404.

Nagi Sanzen'in knocked out Mikuru Asahina 2387-1869, C.C. whipped past Chiaki Minami 2535-1475, Haruhi Suzumiya thumped Fuuko Ibuki 2769-1484, Yuki Nagato dismissed Ruiko Saten 2974-1344, Saber slashed past Ushio Okazaki 2811-1363 and Mafuyu Shiina was too good for Ami KAwashima 2505-1525.

Match Day 3 of the 2010 International Saimoe League Emerald phase is scheduled for Thursday, June 17, 2010. Vote online on you favorite candidates at InternationalSaimoe.com.

ISML 2010: Ui Hirasawa with the early lead in the Emerald

ISML 2010: Ui Hirasawa with the early lead in the Emerald

June 14, 2010

No one expected Ui Hirasawa to lead a necklace phase, but that's what Yui's younger sister did in her 3216-1201 shellacking of Nodoka Haramura in the 2010 International Saimoe League Emerald phase.

With Suiseiseki eliminated in the final day of qualifications, the necklace was up for grabs. Mio Akiyama and Hinagiku Katsura remained unbeaten for another day.

Katsura, the defending ISML champion, routed Kagami Hiiragi 2851-1954. Akiyama derailed Tomoyo Sakagami 2958-1973.

Shana blazed past Hitagi Senjougahara to keep her momentum from her Sapphire defense intact, 2995-1918.

K-ON! picked up a sweep today. Yui Hirasawa rolled past Kotomi Ichinose 2871-1884. Azusa Nakano rose to second on the Emerald table with a 3280-1638 annihilation of Chizuru Akaba.

Also picking up a sweep were the girls from Fate/Stay Night. Saber slashed past Fate Testarossa 2730-1915, Rin Tosaka prevailed over Nagisa Furukawa 2409-2233, and Illyasviel von Einzbern took out Tsukasa Hiiragi 2647-2047.

In what was nothing but a glorified pillow fight between sisters, Rika Furude defeated Hanyuu Furude 2130-1522.

In the special contest, Eve from Black Cat bested Hazuki from Tsukuyomi -Moon Phase- 2490-1338.

In other ISML action...Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere cruised past Ami Kawashima 2445-1968, Minori Kushieda whipped past Konjiki no Yami 2305-2180, Fuuko Ibuki pummeled Mei Sunohara 2415-1469, Nadeko Sengoku ripped apart Nanoha Takamachi 2667-1750

Kyou Fujibayashi thumped Chiaki Minami 2992-1544, Mikoto Misaka rebounded from her defeat to Shana with a 2873-1852 electrocution of Mafuyu Shiina, Minatsu Shiina outpaces Kurimu Sakurano 2028-1866, Yuki Nagato rocked Nagi Sanzen'in 2815-2100 and Mikuru Asahina sounded off Ruiko Saten 2664-1948.

C.C. just had enough to defeat Holo 2335-2154, Isumi Saginomiya dismissed Ushio Okazaki 2526-1920, Ryou Fujibayashi edged Ikaron in a 2128-2112 thriller, Konata Izumi outlasted Maria 2415-2289, Nymph picked up a 2430-1353 walkover win against Mihoko Fukuji and Taiga Aisaka roared past Haruhi Suzumiya in an impressive 2469-2344 victory.

The 2010 International Saimoe League Emerald phase continues with Match Day 2, scheduled for Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Vote for your favorite candidates online at InternationalSaimoe.com and join the ongoing debate and fun on the forums.

ISML 2010: Shana makes history with first successful necklace defense

ISML 2010: Shana makes history with first successful necklace defense
Akiyama, Katsura, Nakano, Aisaka finish unbeaten

By JR Salazar (Bongaboi)
June 7, 2010

Shana, the flame haze that everybody is crazy for, because the first-ever ISML contestant to successfully defend her necklace—in this case the Sapphire.

"Guess this won't be leaving anytime soon," Shana said during her victory rally after disposing of Mikoto Misaka 2879-2565 and her 100th melon bread loaf.

Signs could be seen saying, "Everybody loves Shana!", "Fear...DA SHAX!", "It's a Shanapphire Necklace Sweep!", and the jocular but playful "Urusai, Onee-sama, Urusai!"

"I think we shut them [the Misaka camp up]," said Shana to Yuuji Sakai with a wink and a kiss. "This victory, as you all know, is dedicated to your enduring support. Next year, I predict it will stay with me. This is not the Sapphire necklace. It's now the Shanapphire necklace. Take note, congregation!"

The response was met with a standing ovation and a chorus of cheers.

Misaka was unavailable for comment.

There were four others who also picked up a clean sweep. Mio Akiyama buried Kyou Fujibayashi 3094-2265, defending champion Hinagiku Katsura picked up a 2830-2619 win over Yuki Nagato, Azusa Nakano wrapped up her perfect Sapphire necklace run with a 3217-2050 annihilation of Fate Testarossa and Taiga Aisaka edged Saber 2899-2430.

"It feels great to finish unbeaten for a change!" exclaimed a jubilant Nakano at a special rally inside the Sakuragaoka High School auditorium. "I owe this one to you, the fans, for your support, and to the members of this band, and to the class and Miss Sawako. You are the best! Thank you everyone!"

After the congratulatory remarks, Nakano sang "Jajauma Way To Go!" with Ui Hirasawa playing her trademark Fender and older sister Yui providing backup vocals. June Suzuki also provided a little conga percussion to the number.

Ui defeated Konjiki no Yami 2799-2263 while Yui fell to Haruhi Suzumiya 2759-2533.

"So far, so good," Akiyama said after her win. "I think I'm in a good position to qualify for the postseason. I look forward to taking on Hinagiku Katsura later on."

"Unbeaten for another necklace run and I am loving it," Katsura said at a press conference inside the Sanzen'in combine with Nagi Sanzen'in, Maria, Isumi Saginomiya and Hayate Ayasaki. "Shana put the pressure off me to make some history in defending my jewels. My turn won't be coming just yet, but will be pretty soon."

Katsura is the defending Ruby necklace champion. Sanzen'in prevailed over Rin Tosaka 2770-2430, Maria scored a thrilling 2555-2466 victory over Illyasviel von Einzbern and Saginomiya fell to Minatsu Shiina 2523-2290.

"Another unbeaten run, not bad," Aisaka said, tossing a Palmtop Tiger plushie around during a press conference. "I would love to contend for another one other than the Topaz I have in my hands right now."

For the first time in a while, no series with more than one character secured a sweep. Shana wasn't the only one among the one-character entry shows that ended their run on a winning note.

C.C. crushed Minori Kushieda 2971-2078, Louise Francoise Le Blanc De La Valliere torched Chiaki Minami 2807-1981 and Holo chomped up Mafuyu Shiina 2549-2431.

The special match was not even close, Kairi from Kingdom Hearts blasted Lyn from Fire Emblem 3080-634.

In other ISML action...Kagami Hiiragi bulldozed Kurimu Sakurano 2969-2114, Ikaros kept Hanyuu Furude winless with a 2592-1954 defeat, Nanoha Takamachi prevailed over Ami Kawashima 2543-2344, Hitagi Senjougahara pummeled Konata Izumi 2692-2386, Nagisa Furukawa mowed down Fuuko Ibuki 2809-1603 and Tsukasa Hiiragi slammed the door shot on Nodoka Haramura 3210-1314.

Wrapping up ISML Sapphire action...Chizuru Akaba rolled past Rika Furude 2808-1860, Tomoyo Sakagami sent Nadeko Sengoku sky high 2717-2301, Ruiko Saten bombed Ryou Fujibayashi 2626-2266, Ushio Okazaki picked up a 2438-2095 win over Nymph, Mei Sunohara kept Mihoko Fukuji's winless streak alive 3001-1326 and Mikuru Asahina handcuffed Kotomi Ichinose by the score of 2623-2327.

The 2010 International Saimoe League continues next week with the necklace that represents Mother Nature, the EMerald Necklace. This necklace will be up for grabs, since Suiseiseki—who would have been the defending holder—failed to qualify for the main draw.
