Yukino Yukinoshita was elected as Saimoe Prime Minister this morning, winning the 2020 International Saimoe League Heavenly Tiara with a 9725-9507 victory over Mikoto Misaka, denying the Railgun a historic reelection. Miyuki Shirogane won the Deputy Saimoe Prime Minister's office in a 8474-8444 thriller over Sakuta Azusagawa. A full transcription of remarks from Yukino will be posted on the blog this weekend.
In the Female Division, Mai Sakurajima came in third defeating Kaguya Shinomiya 8779-8209, Mashiro Shiina rolled past Rikka Takanashi 8687-7306 to finish fifth, Asuna Yuuki was seventh after slashing past Ai Hayasaka 8688-7534 and Kurumi Tokisaki was ninth after shooting down Chika Fujiwara 8401-8103. In a group classification match, making the cut were Kuroko Shirai (91813.4), Iroha Isshiki (75546.9), Misaki Shokuhou (75792.9) and Emilia (72251).
Touma Kamijou was third in the Male Division after breaking Yuu Ishigami 8222-7843, Yuuta Togashi rocked Riku Doma 7582-7373 to finish fifth, Levi leveled Tanjiro Kamado 8267-7188 to finish seventh and Kiyotaki Ayanokouji won the closest race of the round, a 7704-7677 barnburner over Subaru Natsuki to finish ninth. Making the cut in the group classification match were Shirou Emiya (62487.1), Saitama (62933.9), Saika Totsuka (68740.8) and Taki Tachibana (66639.9).
Match Day 8 of the 2020 International Saimoe League also featured an undercard of exhibitions. In solo exhibition play, Monika routed Sans 7814-4726, Yuri rolled past Chara 6337-5856, Sayori slammed Asriel Dreemurr 7478-4647, Natsuki blasted Papyrus 7912-4309, Pyotry Ilyich Tchaikovsky hammered Franz Liszt 6303-4484, Akira Amatsune prevailed over Kazuha Migiwa 6404-6075, Shizuka Sakaki drove past Eruka Yano 6736-5447, Ai Ooto thumped Neiru Aonuma 7315-4769, Rin Shima flattened Alice Carroll 7693-5027, Neutrophil U-1196 overcame Erythrocite AE3803 6950-6913, Tsuruya crushed Asa Shigure 6877-5158 and Kanade Hisaishi stormed past Aoi Yukimura 6979-5589.
In Dual action, Willem Kmetsch and Chtholly Nota Seniorious dominated Rentarou Satomi and Enju Aihara 8109-5978, Rean Schwarzer and Alisa Reinford took down Chrom and Lucina 7534-4933 and Ymir and Krista Lenz got past Kasumi Nakasu and Shizuku Ousaka 7941-6609. Finally, in a group match exhibition, making the top three were Rio Futaba (8098), Tomoe Koga (7827) and Mayaka Ibara (6644).
