I have decided that after the Paris 2024 Paralympics conclude on September 8, I will do a rebrand of my Twitch channel and socials. The current face logo will remain my logo for HoYoLAB only moving forward. Also on Chatango, the walnut head will remain my main ident there. As for the other platforms, I am posting what my idents will look like once it reaches midnight, Sept., 9 in Paris.
This will be the logo for my main social handles. That is, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and my blog.
My Twitch channel will have this ident. The pink and white H's for HomuHomu join forces as one, with the 2093 number and establishment year.
This will be my Tumblr blog identification when the rebrand formally takes place. All three logos will have the Libertarian torch, a constant reminder of where my political alignments remain, I the Weeberal Weebertarian, the Gift that Keeps On Giving, I, who will believe in the power of love to keep home alive. The face will only remain on HoYoLAB, but nowhere else. The Favicon has already migrated to the new brand ahead of the hard rebrand come September 9, 2024 at 00:00 UTC+2.
It has been many weeks and months since the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue had moved to Version 221. With the arrival of the coronavirus vaccine to the United States of America, the Bedlam has chosen to move forward and update to the next version.
Welcome to Version 222 of the Bedlam: Uninstall. Or, Vaccine Impact. This edition is dedicated to the many who have been lost to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. And this edition is in honor of the heroes on the front lines, the health care workers across this star who have sacrificed their lives to help those affected by this virus, to those who continue to fight valiantly like the Warriors of Light in Final Fantasy XIV and the Knights of Favonius in Genshin Impact.
To those who have been affected in one way or another by this pandemic, the Bedlam stands in solidarity with you in this long, difficult and frustrating time. The light comes at the end of the title, and man races toward it in an effort to wield this blade of light, this vaccine that shall set the stage for the world to be reborn from the ashes of death.
As we move forward, be safe out there. Wear a face covering when going out, wash your hands, keep your social distancing and keep your elders in mind when they are here with you or no. Because at the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue, your home for coverage of the International Saimoe League and your home of random curated anime, sports, song lyrics and news posts from this star, together WE WILL WIN.
See to it that victory belongs to us. To all of us. And never forget to be the gift that keeps of giving. Share your hope, your happiness, your desire to see a happy future and a happy tomorrow. Because at The Bedlam On Baltic Avenue, there's always something going on down there. Always Something.
Well, not really a drastic rebranding. Just a simple drop shield edit to go with some personalizaron of my idents. The BoBA ident is used for my Blogger and Tumblr blogs. HomuHomu2093 is used for my Twitch gaming channel. And the last ident, Hachiko, is what I use for a number of internet forums I frequent. My colors are solid pink, pastel pink, iris purple and pure white. These logos are free to use for private use only.
And yes, the Libertarian logo is there permanently, or at least until I am allowed to post on Twitter again. This is Jack Dorsey's fault.
After several years of slight modifications to the layout of my blog, The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue, I have finally decided to make the blog more accessible for people of different persuasions while staying true to the Solid Pink color that is an official color of this blog, along with the now adopted secondary shade of French Pink and the tertiary accent of white.
Akatsuki has been retired as mascot of my blog, with Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi resuming their roles as co-mascots. Version 203 is the version where the Emporio theme is used to allow for better accessibility by computer users who may not be so adept. A few widgets have been axed, and a couple of text widgets have been moved as standalone pages (yes would you believe that there have been no actual pages on this blog until now? And it's been more than 10 years!).
Also, my tumblr page has been updated with a new look took to better emphasize accessibility. The Tumblr Official look had been the look for my blog for years. Now it's been given a change to reflect my ever evolving whims. In this, I am looking forward with hope to bigger and better things.
So, I hope you enjoy the content on the Bedlam, because we have a big year of Saimoe coming up and we'll make sure you know what's going on, because at the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue, there's always something going on down there.
When the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue first began its service back on June 11, 2005, its focus was on Arina Tanemura-related materials and writings. Since then, this blog has been known for covering the International Saimoe League, other anime character competitions, providing sports results and sport/anime collaborations, as well as providing other related stuff worthy of discussions such as games like Pangya. This blog of mine has been an extension of me for over a decade, and it has grown as I have grown.
Now, it takes the next bold step with a rebrand, an indicator of how far it has grown over the past 12 years, a new identification.
The Gill Sans Ultra Bold font has been retired from use once and for all. Neutraface, more specifically, Neutra Display Tilting, is the official font for the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue, with secondary fonts being Arquitecta and Lato. The iconic BoBA abbreviation is now embedded into a bigger B to go with the founding year of 2005. The large B is a tribute to the late DeviantART of Bongaboi which is now succeeded by the tumblr account of the same name and the identity of myself as a player on Pangya with the same name.
The official colors of this blog are Solid Pink, (#893843), Cherry Blossom Pink (#FFB7C5), Lust (#E62020) and Baby Powder (#FEFEFA). The desktop icon for this blog will also be changed to accomodate the rebrand.
A long and arduous process was made to finally establish a mascot for Year 13 of the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue. I settled on using a shipgirl as my main mascot and went with the remodeled version of Akatsuki. Ha Akabouzu's depictions of the lady of the Combined Fleet depicts the exact mindset.
For a girl whose human age when remodeled is exactly that of the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue at 12, this is remarkably mature and assertive and is not like that of her childish personality that is not the true Akatsuki I am familiar with. Renewed, with a purpose, the bringer of a new morning, a new start to a blog that is an outlet for my opinions to things that matter to me and to life and society. On these grounds, Akatsuki will be my main mascot, the face of the blog and the Tumblr satellite blog, who retires my previous mascot, Madoka Kaname, who has been in service for about six years.
A secondary mascot is also in place to round out the rebrand of this blog. Aoba Suzukaze is now my secondary mascot and will be used to promote any events on my Twitch channel and my social media presence. She will combine forces with Homura Akemi, my primary Twitch mascot, to promote any gaming events happening on my channel. The Twitch Channel is also receiving a rebrand. My Twitch Channel, HomuHomu2093 will have its own logo. Colors are Pomp and Power (#86608E), Eminence (#6C3082), Palatinate (#682860) and White (#FEFEFA).
Finally, in a nod to my support for Paris Saint-Germain, "Go West" by the Village People will be the official opening theme for all of my streams on Twitch outside of any streams I host, replacing the Warner Brothers intro music that had been my starting tune.
I thank you for your support and I hope you look forward to my work online. Here on my profile, "There's Always Something Going On Around Here," and "I Am The Gift That Keeps On Giving." Onward!
Today, the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue hit a major milestone in its long existence: 200,000 pageviews. Thank you to all of you wonderful readers for your support, wherever you are, whether in Russia, Germany, the Philippines, Australia, the USA, Canada, France, the UK, Ukraine, Israel...no matter where you are in the world, the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue is here to provide the finest in sports, anime and Japanese pop culture for your perusal. Season's Greetings and be safe out there as you celebrate the holidays and get ready to ring in 2016.
This is the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue! We're making history!
Decided to go with Ruri Gokou. So, I would like to personally thank you all for 10 Years of Great Fun. This blog will continue to provide you with plenty of Saimoe news, predictions, song lyrics as interpreted by me, and loads of sports. Thanks for tuning in to The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue: A Blogger Tradition Since 2005!
Hey, just wanted to let you know that the Bedlam on Baltic Avenue, a.k.a. the World according to Jo-Ryan Salazar, will be turning 10 years old this Thursday. That's right, this marks the 10th anniversary of this blog, which originally started out as a tribute blog to Arina Tanemura, a well-known manga artist known for works such as Full Moon wo Sagashite and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. Then it spurned off and evolved into a blog that covered all things Saimoe, as well as sports. It's a transformation that highlights 10 years of my life, from college onward.
I am mulling changing my banner to commemorate this anniversary but I would need to know what I want to use, or whether or not I should go with something Arina-like to commemorate this important occasion. This has been a great ride, really. So I am going to make Version 128 a good one because 10 years is a pretty long time.
