ISML 2010: Nagato still leads Amethyst, seven also in contention

Yuki Nagato continues to the lead the 2010 International Saimoe League Amethyst standings with seven others still in the running, including the three overall league unbeatens.

Nagato defeated Rin Tosaka 2704-1802 to keep her hold on the standards. Meanwhile, Mio Akiyama easily defeated Yui Hirasawa 2775-1480, Shana blazed past Kurimu Sakurano 2977-1509 and defending champion Hinagiku Katsura crushed Konata Izumi 2862-1677.

Others also in the chase include Mikoto Misaka, Taiga Aisaka and Kyou Fujibayashi.

Misaka faced a very strong challenge from Azusa Nakano but prevailed, 2359-2175. Aisaka had an easier job against Nadeko Sengoku, tearing her apart 2512-1869 and Fujibayashi tayed alive with a 2228-2088 victory over 2008 necklace winner Kagami Hiiragi (a previous version of the bulleting had her as a defending champion by mistake).

The SOS Brigade claimed a sweep. Haruhi Suzumiya edged Hitagi Senjougahara 2377-2094 and Mikuru Asahina scored an easy 2740-1587 victory over Chiaki Minami 1587.

Also claiming a sweep were the girls from Hayate the Combat Butler. Maria defeated Ruiko Saten 2307-1977, Nagi Sanzen'in prevailed over Mafuyu Shiina 2253-2086 and Isumi Saginomiya scored an easy 2914-1090 win over Nodoka Haramura.

Finally, Toradora! claimed a clean sheet. Ami Kawashima defeated Ryou Fujibayashi 2185-1971 while Minori Kushieda prevailed against Ikaros 2137-1927

In the special match, Mahoro Andou took out Ruri Hoshino 1999-1225.

In other ISML action, Illyasviel von Einzbern blasted Nymph 2702-1432, C.C. pounded Mei Sunohara 2595-1608, Fuuko Ibuki slashed Mihoko Fukuji 2733-1090, Nagisa Furukawa rolled past Konjiki no Yami 2390-1783, Nanoha Takamachi kept Hanyuu Furude winless 2404-1493 and Kotomi Ichinose wasted no time in picking up a win against Tsukasa Hiiragi 2367-1774.

Ui Hirasawa buried Rika Furude 2514-1682, Chizuru Akaba prevailed 2242-1913, Minatsu Shiina defeated Ushio Okazaki easily 2447-1638 and Tomoyo Sakagami upended Fate Testarossa 2352-1947.
